As Director of IKAN Innovations and Technologies, a firm of 70 consultants who graduated from IIT Kanpur (the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur), Ajit is involved in identifying, developing and executing consultancy assignment opportunities and new projects including start-up and AI ideas from their concept stage.
Since 2001, he is on the Board of ICS Education Ltd., a pioneer in career counselling under the brand name ICS Career GPS, which also runs the Institute for Career Studies, and has added to its rich experience and vast reservoir of domain knowledge in the domestic and international educational space. He is currently mentoring and driving the business and digital transformation of the company as its Vice Chairman & Director (Operations).
Ajit has gained in-depth experience in the Real Estate Development industry in the area of Strategic Planning, Project Execution, Business Development, Sales and Marketing from 1989. He believes that homes and work places must be envisioned not just with intellect but also with care.
After completing a 5 year integrated M.Sc. in Maths from IIT Kanpur in 1987, he started his career in Sales and Marketing with Modi Xerox, a joint venture with Xerox Inc, USA, a Fortune 500 company, and over a period of time moved on to being a passionate entrepreneur.
His strong visioning, leadership, management and collaborative working skills; good public relations; strategic thinking; attention to detail; analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; and out of the box thinking and implementation give him an edge in making whatever he undertakes a success.
